A multi-vehicle crash on the M1 in Leicestershire caused delays on the northbound carriageway of the motorway.

National Highways said the crash, at about 06:20 BST on Friday, affected the stretch of the road between junction 20, near Lutterworth, and junction 21 at Leicester.

The road was initially blocked but all lanes had reopened by 08:30.

National Highways said delays were easing but advised drivers to allow extra time for their journeys.

Leicestershire Police said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

The force said no life-changing or life-threatening injuries had been reported, but has not released further details.
