Siemens to move Lincoln turbine works to new site

A major employer in Lincoln will move its gas turbine service facilities to a new site in the city.
Siemens will relocate its 540 staff from Firth Road and Olympic House as well as its Ruston Works site to a new location nearer the city's bypass.
The gas turbine service business along with its other operations in Lincoln have enjoyed a record order year.
Siemens said the preferred location for its new office and workshop facility was Teal Park.
The project would consolidate the firm's gas turbine service activities into new offices and workshops and would have room for future expansion, the company said.
The work will start in mid 2011, with a completion date set for summer 2012.
