Skegness jobs offer at new Grand Central complex

Hundreds of people are expected to attend a job fair at a Lincolnshire resort hit by a major fire in 2007.

Up to 150 jobs are on offer to people at the new £2.5m four-storey Grand Central complex on Grand Parade in Skegness.

In August 2007, flames swept through buildings, forcing the collapse of a 656ft (200m) long stretch of property.

Grand Central's events manager, Matthew Dickinson, said jobs for bar staff to fire-eaters would be on offer.

"There are opportunities for everyone, whether it be in the bar, the shops, dancing for us, cleaners, right to down to specialist acts such are trapeze artists and fire-eaters," he added.

"We want to give everyone a chance who is wanting to get back into employment and we are working closely with the job centre," he added.

Grand Central includes an ice rink, bars, cafes and a lap dancing club.

The job fair will run from 1100 BST on Wednesday to 1600 BST on Friday.
