Highs and lows: Behind the scenes with the Red Arrows

  • Published

When photographer Keith Wilson was asked to capture the spirit of the Red Arrows, he witnessed one of the most difficult periods in the history of the RAF's daredevil aerobatic squadron.

During the months he spent with the crew and their support team, two pilots were killed in accidents - Flt Lt Jon Egging at a display, and Flt Lt Sean James Cunningham when he was ejected from his stationary jet.

Mr Wilson is donating some of the proceeds from his book - Red Arrows in Camera - to the RAF Benevolent Fund, external and The Jon Egging Trust, external.
