Crowland shop cash machine stolen using digger

The cash machine was taken away on the back of a pick-up, police said

A cash machine has been stolen from a Lincolnshire shop by thieves using a mechanical digger.

Just after 01:00 BST three offenders targeted the Spar in North Street, Crowland, using a yellow JCB believed taken earlier from a nearby farm.

The cash machine was taken away on the back of a silver pick-up style vehicle. Considerable damage was caused to the front of the shop, police said.

Lincolnshire Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
