Two men have been arrested on suspicion of arson after fire destroyed a stand and social club at the former home of Louth Town Football Club.

At its height, 40 firefighters tackled the blaze at the Park Avenue site in the early hours of Monday.

Two local men, aged 21 and 37, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.

Lincolnshire Police have urged anyone who witnessed anything in the area at the time to get in touch.

Louth Town played at the 1,500 capacity ground up until the end of last season - they now play their games in Saltfleetby.
