Around 7,000 plants were discovered in the raid on the disused factory in the village of Frampton

Police have raided a huge cannabis farm in Lincolnshire just weeks after discovering the biggest marijuana-growing operation the county has ever seen.

Officers found 7,000 plants, worth £6m, being cultivated in a disused factory in Frampton, near Boston, on Thursday.

In March, they discovered thousands of plants in the Fishtoft Road area of Boston.

Two people have been arrested after the latest find.

Lincolnshire Police described the Fishtoft Road farm as "the largest-scale cannabis grow the county has ever seen".

Det Insp Paul Coleman said police received a tip-off which enabled them to raid the factory in Frampton.

He added: "This is a significant find and I am pleased that this operation allowed us to take out a huge amount of cannabis out of circulation to prevent criminals from profiting from them."

A 15-year-old boy and a man, aged 33, were arrested on suspicion of the production of a controlled drug after the latest raid and have been released on bail, police said.
