A woman in her 20s died on the A52 near Skegness on Monday afternoon, police said

A woman in her 20s has died after a car crash on the A52 near Skegness.

The incident happened just before 16:00 GMT on Monday when a Dacia travelling towards Boston was in collision with a Ford driving in the opposite direction, Lincolnshire Police said.

The Dacia driver died at the scene and the passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said. The driver's family have been informed.

The driver of the Ford was also injured and taken to hospital, police said.

Anyone who saw the grey Dacia Sandero or silver Ford Kuga travelling on the A52 near Croft Bank should contact Lincolnshire Police.

The force also appealed for anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
