A burglar tricked her way into a woman's home by saying she was pregnant and asking to use the toilet, police have said.

Officers said the victim, in her 70s, was targeted at her house on Sea Lane in Ingoldmells on 16 November.

After being let into the house, the suspect was later discovered in another room "throwing items" from a window to an accomplice outside.

She left after being challenged by the victim, Lincolnshire Police said.

Details of the incident have only just been released and officers appealed for anyone with information or CCTV footage to get in touch.
