The hearing into PC Froggatt's behaviour is scheduled to take place at Grantham Police Station on 8 December
A Lincolnshire Police officer faces a misconduct hearing after admitting assaulting a man.
PC James Froggatt was alleged to have "breached the standards of professional behaviour" after pleading guilty at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 25 September, a force spokesperson said.
He was subsequently convicted of common assault, Lincolnshire Police added.
An accelerated misconduct hearing is scheduled to take place at Grantham Police Station on 8 December.
If proven, the conduct by PC Froggatt, who was based in Lincoln, was believed to amount to gross misconduct, the force said.
