A second arrest has been made as police investigate the sexual exploitation of girls in Lincoln and Crowland.

Lincolnshire Police said it had received a report that teenage girls were being exploited by men who have been travelling from outside the county.

Officers said a 49-year man was arrested in connection with the investigation.

He was bailed on condition that he does not enter Lincolnshire.

The force said it was following "a number of lines of inquiry" but did not say what the man was accused of.

On Friday, the force confirmed a 42-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child, trafficking and sexual assault. That man was also released on bail.

Earlier, police said: "It is alleged that the girls have been involved in conversations with men via mobile phones, and have met in person.

"We would be keen to hear from anyone who might have been in conversations with, or approached by, men in this way - please remember that you are not in trouble and we are here to help you. Your identity will always be protected."
