Cannabis plants were found growing in all three properties, police said

Four men have been arrested after cannabis plants were discovered at three neighbouring properties in a Lincolnshire town centre.

Officers raided a house in Spring Gardens, Gainsborough, after a tip-off at about 05:00 GMT on Tuesday, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said.

They found about 1,000 cannabis plants being grown there and in the two neighbouring properties.

The men, aged 19, 21, 22 and 41, were arrested a short time later.

All four remain in custody for questioning.

The force spokesperson said officers had found cannabis plants being grown at the first property, as well as the remains of previous grows.

The electricity had also been bypassed at all three properties, they added.

The force has appealed for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident to get in touch.
