From vowing to dance more to meeting their great-grandchildren, residents at a Lincolnshire care home have been sharing their new year's resolutions.

Having more money, playing more bingo and doing more knitting were among the other hopes and dreams for 2024 at Temple Croft Care Home in Grimsby.

Temple Croft is home to 33 residents aged from 63 to 102.

"We really enjoy spending time with them and making them happy every day," said staff member Lucy Jacklin.

Activities coordinator Lucy is in charge of keeping the residents entertained.

"We try all sorts to keep them busy and active," she said.

"If I have a week off they hate it."

Lucy, 30, said she "absolutely loved" working at the home.

"Everyone is really happy and everyone is really friendly. It's like being at home," she added.

"It's like having lots of extra nanas and grandads."
