Appeal after man found injured in Grantham street dies

Lincolnshire Police is appealing for anybody who was in the area to contact the force

Lincolnshire Police has appealed for information following the death of a man found in a Grantham street with serious head injuries.

Officers were called to Welham Street at about 12:50 GMT on Sunday 28 January.

The force said it was treating the death as "unexpected" and a post-mortem examination was due to take place.

A spokesperson added it was "trying to piece together the series of events that led to the man's injuries".

The man died in hospital and his family have been informed.

Investigators would like to talk to anybody who was in the area between 21:00 on Saturday and 01:00 on Sunday.
