Police have released images of two distinctive tattoos on the man's body

Pictures of distinctive tattoos have been released to help identify a man found dead in Lincolnshire.

His body was found at the edge of a field at about 10:15 GMT on Thursday near Ropsley Road, between Ropsley and Oasby.

Lincolnshire Police said despite inquiries it had been unable to establish the man's identity.

His cause of death is unknown and an investigation continues into the circumstances.

Both tattoos are on the man's arms, with one described as a blue ink Celtic band-style around his bicep.

The other is larger and in slightly faded blue ink, depicting either a dragon motif or claws.

The man is described as white, with a shaved head, and wearing a black parka coat and grey Adidas tracksuit bottoms.

Police have also issued the appeal in Bulgarian, Polish, Lithuanian and Latvian.
