A night club in Lincoln is to hold its first ever daytime event aimed at over-30s.

The "Home Before Dark" event at the city's Home venue will run from 15:00 to 20:00 on a Saturday afternoon later this month.

Organiser and DJ Andy Gulch said the session was "a chance to come out in the daytime, not be home at stupid o'clock in the morning".

"I wanted something completely unique and different," Mr Gulch said.

"So it's giving the opportunity for people to come out and not be surrounded by younger people.

"Obviously when you get to a certain age you don't want to be surrounded by your 18, 19 year olds anymore."

He added: "You're never too old for for a good dance and go clubbing."

The afternoon will also feature a performance by 90s singer Rozalla.

Mr Gulch said ticket sales were going well and he expected about 700 people to attend.

Similar events have been held across the country, including ones run by Line of Duty actor Vicky McClure.

Her Day Fever parties, run with husband Jonny Owen, launched before Christmas.
