Man dies after fire engine involved in crash near Crowland

A man has died after a five-vehicle collision involving a fire engine on the A16 in Lincolnshire.
Police were called to the incident in Crowland near to the junction with the B1040 just after 12:40 GMT on 3 March.
The man who died was in a Peugeot 308 and three children were also taken to hospital after the crash.
The Scania fire engine was responding to a call to attend another traffic incident at the time of the collision, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said.
A silver Kia Sportage, a black Mercedes and a grey Volkswagen Transporter were also involved.
The Peugeot, Kia, Mercedes and fire engine were travelling southbound towards Peterborough and the Volkswagen was travelling north towards Spalding.
Police said the road was closed at the time and reopened later in the evening.
The man's family has been informed by officers.
Spencer Creek, response manager at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: "At around 12.40 on 3 March, while travelling to provide support at a road traffic emergency, one of our fire appliances and crews were involved in a collision.
"The incident resulted in a driver of another vehicle tragically losing their life.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with those that have been affected by this incident. A police investigation is taking place."
Lincolnshire Police is appealing for anyone who may have any information relating to the collision to get in touch.
