A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found.

Adam Bailey, 49, was found dead at his property in Tamer Road, Sleaford, on 16 February after officers received reports of a concern for his safety.

Lincolnshire Police has appealed for witnesses of Mr Bailey in or around Sleaford between 12:00 on 11 February and 14:15 GMT on 16 February.

The 34-year-old has been released on bail while inquiries continue, the force said.

Det Insp Andrew McWatt said: "We are keeping an open mind about the circumstances, but we believe there may be people who will have witnessed something, or have information about Mr Bailey's death or his interactions with others before he died, which might help our ongoing investigation who we have not yet spoken with.

"It might be that you don't realise that what you saw or heard is important; we'd ask that you think back, or view mobile phone or dashcam footage, or social media where you may have seen something posted, and get in touch with anything that might be relevant and allow us to decide.

"Any piece of information can prove crucial in an investigation, and we'd rather have as much information as possible than miss a key detail, no matter how small.

"I realise that investigations of this nature can be concerning for the local community to hear about. Thankfully they are not common for the local area, but we are still taking this very seriously."
