Seagull graffiti has appeared in Cleethorpes in a bid to get people outdoors and to learn about the town.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to go in search of the artwork scattered around the resort, using an online interactive map.

Some locations haven't been revealed, challenging people to find them alone.

The initiative has been organised by local artist Dogma Art, in association with Arts Council England and Create North East Lincolnshire.

In a social media post, Dogma explained: "Seagulls are symbols of versatility and freedom in traditional Native American cultures."

Speaking to BBC Radio Humberside last week, he said: "The idea was to try to engage people in wellness, to try to encourage people to get out and about."

The project has been a hit among locals, with some taking to the internet to share their enthusiasm.

One user said: "Now this is a good idea for a walking path." Another added: "Very Cleethorpes-y. Love it."

There are 11 seagulls to find around the town, including at the leisure centre and paddling pool, with plans for more in the near future.
