Three people were arrested in connection with the incident

Two teenagers and an adult have been arrested following reports that footballers were threatened with knives in a Lincoln park.

Police received a report of a group of people threatening the public with weapons at Boultham Park at around 16:40 GMT on 17 March.

A 15-year-old, 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were arrested on suspicion of affray and intent to supply Class A drugs.

They have been released on police bail.

The 16-year-old was also arrested for common assault.

Police have given them conditions to limit where they can go in the city and with whom they can interact.

The force is keen to speak to anyone who may have any information or footage which captured the incident.
