Man arrested after assaults in Lincolnshire resort

Two men are reported to have thrown a glass at someone at the Cheers Bar, Ingoldmells

A man has been arrested after several people were attacked in a seaside resort.

The victims suffered serious injuries requiring hospital treatment in two separate incidents in Ingoldmells, near Skegness, on Sunday, Lincolnshire Police said.

Two men threw a glass at someone in the Cheers bar, Walls Lane, at about 08:10 BST before leaving.

Later, the men were reported to have assaulted two people in nearby streets.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage, causing actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

He has been released on bail with conditions not to enter Skegness, Winthorpe or Ingoldmells or to contact specific people, police said.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses and video footage of the incidents.
