A body has been found in the search for a missing 94-year-old man.

The man, who has been named only as Colin, was last seen driving in his car in the College Street area of Grimsby on Thursday.

An underwater search was carried out by police divers at Tetney Lock after his vehicle was found parked nearby.

Lincolnshire Police said a body was discovered in the same area on Friday afternoon and a formal identification has yet to take place.

The force added that Colin's family had been made aware of the discovery.

The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file would be passed to the coroner, police said.
