Cannabis plants were discovered in Gordon Field in Market Rasen

A man has been arrested following the discovery of around 400 cannabis plants in Market Rasen, police have said.

The 31-year-old was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of cultivating a class B controlled drug and has been released on bail.

The plants were found in various rooms of a disused building in Gordon Field.

Lincolnshire Police said members of the public reported information which led to the discovery of the plants.

Insp Mike Head, from the Gainsborough Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "We would like to thank the local community for the intelligence they have provided.

"Work is now ongoing to progress investigations and we would encourage people to continue providing intelligence either through the local NPT or via CrimeStoppers."
