A man who repeatedly assaulted police officers on duty in Lincoln has been jailed for 42 weeks.
Brandon Hibbert, 24, of Linnet Way, Sleaford, assaulted five officers in three separate incidents by pushing, punching and spitting at them.
Officers were responding to calls for help from the public when the assaults took place.
In the latest incident in the Moorland area on Sunday, he punched an officer several times.
The officer, who had been responding to a report of a disturbance, was left with bruising and swelling.
Hibbert was under the influence of drink and drugs at the time and it took six officers to restrain him.
He was later found to have concealed a knife in his trousers.
At a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Monday, Hibbert was sentenced to 18 weeks for assaulting the emergency worker.
The court heard Hibbert was already facing two suspended sentences for previous assaults of police officers.
In October 2023, he attacked two officers outside a pub in Lincoln High Street by pushing them.
On 3 March this year, Hibbert went into a nightclub in Lincoln and was ejected by staff due to his behaviour.
Police were called and he punched one officer in the chest, tried to bite her leg and spat at another officer.
In total, he has been sentenced to 42 weeks in prison.
