A 36-year-old man has died in a two-vehicle crash in Lincolnshire, police said.

Officers were called to the incident involving a black BMW and blue Yamaha motorcycle on the A16 near Spilsby shortly after 19:30 BST on Sunday.

The man, who was on the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Lincolnshire Police said.

Another man on the Yamaha sustained what were thought to be non life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said the family of the man who died had been informed and "our thoughts are with them at this difficult time".

Motorists were advised to avoid the area while crash investigation work took place.
