Spalding: Police at the scene of multi-vehicle accident on the A16

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area

Motorists are being urged to avoid part of Spalding after a multi-vehicle crash.

Lincolnshire Police were called to a serious accident involving multiple vehicles on the A16 shortly after 12:30 BST on Monday.

A spokesperson for the force said the incident was believed to be in the Holbeach Road area.

Traffic data firm Inrix said a section of the A16 was currently closed in both directions.
