Work has begun on creating London's biggest cycle hire docking station.

The 124-space "super" docking station is being built at Waterloo Station in south London and will be in operation by mid-December.

An extra 50 docking stations are being installed across London which will come into service next spring.

Transport for London said it had more than 100,000 cycle hire scheme members and there had been 1.3 million journeys since the scheme began in July.
