Two teenagers have been remanded in custody charged with murdering a man found dead in the boot of a burnt-out car in south-east London.

Gagandip Singh, 21, of Bexleyheath, was discovered in a Mercedes in Angerstein Lane, Blackheath, on Saturday.

Mundill Mahil, a 19-year-old woman of Chatham, Kent, and Harvinder Singh Shoker, also 19, of Charlton, appeared at Greenwich Magistrates' Court.

They are due to appear at the Old Bailey in 6 June.

Ms Mahil, of Maidstone Road, and Mr Shoker of Charlton Park Lane, will appear at the court for a plea and case management hearing.

A third person, a 19-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of Mr Singh's murder.

He is in custody at a south London police station.

The body of Mr Singh, an owner of new broadcaster Sikh TV, was discovered after police called the fire brigade to put out the blaze.

Police on patrol came across the burning car at about 0200 GMT.
