Two attempted murder charges have been dropped against three men who deny shooting a five-year-old girl.

Thusha Kamaleswaran was left paralysed from the waist down when she was shot at the Stockwell Food and Wine store in Brixton, south London, in March.

Nathaniel Grant, 20, of Camberwell, Kazeem Kolawole, 19, of Kennington, and Anthony McCalla, 19, of Streatham, are due to go on trial in January.

Appearing via video-link at the Old Bailey, the men denied several charges.

They pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Thusha and to Roshan Selvakumar, 35, who was also shot in the shop.

Charges of attempted murder involving Thusha and Mr Selvakumar were dropped following a ruling by the judge.

However the men are still accused of the attempted murder of Shaun Bryan, which they deny.

The men, who remain in custody, also pleaded not guilty to possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
