Man charged over riot night shop fire in Peckham

A man has been charged with starting a fire at a clothing store in Peckham, south London, during riots on 8 August.
Andrew Burls, 22, of Purdon House, High Street, Peckham, is charged with two counts of arson, being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He also faces three counts of burglary on Rye Lane.
Camberwell Green magistrates remanded Mr Burls in custody until 1 November when he will appear before Inner London Crown Court.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses to contact them.
On 8 August, disorder was reported across London, as well as in Birmingham, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bristol and the Medway towns.
The violence followed the fatal shooting by police of Mark Duggan, 29, in Tottenham.
