Woman accused of racist rant on Central Line

A woman has been accused of racially abusing passengers on a London Underground train.

Jacqueline Woodhouse, 42, was charged with racially aggravated common assault and a racially aggravated public order offence, police said.

Ms Woodhouse, of Romford, east London, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and was released to appear at the same court on 1 May.

She was arrested over an incident on a Central Line train on 23 January.

British Transport Police officers were notified about a video on YouTube which showed a woman ranting at passengers on a packed Central Line train between St Paul's and Mile End stations.
