A ticket tout who was selling Olympic tickets outside a Games venue has been jailed.

Josef Aguirre, 29, was seen by officers trying to sell tickets close to the Excel centre. When he was arrested, officers found 56 tickets on him.

Stratford Magistrates' Court fined Aguirre £1,000 and ordered him to pay court costs. However, when he refused to pay he was jailed for 28 days.

Police are working with Olympic organisers Locog to sell the tickets.
