Ronnie Barker's son to face child sex abuse image trial

Comedian Ronnie Barker's son has had his case committed to Crown court charged with making indecent images of children.

Adam Barker, 44, spent eight years on the run after being questioned over the allegations in 2004.

It is alleged a computer seized from Barker's former Ealing home in 2003 contained thousands of indecent images of children.

He is charged with 20 counts of making indecent images.

Two images were level five - the highest category - while 24 were at level four, a previous court hearing was told.

Barker, of no fixed address, was interviewed and released on bail until June 2004 but did not return, even for his parents' funerals.

Barker, the youngest son of the comedian, was remanded in custody to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 20 September.
