Bus passengers in north London are being warned to expect severe disruption due to a planned strike on Thursday.

Members of the Unite union are taking industrial action in a pay dispute with their employer Arriva London North.

Transport for London (TfL) said some services may not run while others on some routes into central London would also be affected.

The action is due to start at 03:00 GMT on Thursday and end 24 hours later.

A TfL spokesman said Arriva London North operated around 10% of bus services in the capital.

He advised passengers to check the TfL website, external before travelling.

He said Tube stations including Victoria, Seven Sisters, Tottenham Hale, Wood Green and Turnpike Lane were expected to be busier than normal and asked commuters to allow more time for their journeys.
