Metropolitan Police officer admits child porn image offences

A serving police officer has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of a child.

Christopher Exley, 33, admitted four counts of making images of a child under 18.

Southwark Crown Court heard he was working as a constable with the Metropolitan Police's Diplomatic Protection Group but has been suspended since his arrest.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report until 14 January.

The court heard the charges related to Mr Exley viewing a website but no more details were given.

He admitted three counts of making an indecent image of a child under the age of 18, at levels respectively of one, two and four.

Level one relates to images depicting nudity and level four sexual activity between one or more children and one or more adults.

Mr Exley also pleaded guilty to a count of making 53 indecent images of a child under 18, 27 at level one, 15 at level two and 11 at level four.
