Engineers have been working to repair part of Regent Street in central London which was closed due to a burst water pipe.

A 20in pipe broke at the junction of Vigo Street and Glasshouse Street on 3 March. Fifteen shops were initially closed however they have since reopened.

Other work such as traffic islands to help pedestrians have been brought forward. They were initially scheduled to take place in November.

Workers from Westminster City Council and Thames Water hope to finish work by 22 March.
