Up to 10,000 people are to be given the opportunity to take part in a run which finishes in the Olympic Stadium in London.

On 21 July, a five mile run is being held around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with the final 300m being on the stadium's track.

The National Lottery Anniversary Run will be the first event to take place in the park since the Paralympic Games.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday morning at a cost of £27.50.

Each runner will be able to bring two friends or family members to sit in the stadium and cheer them on.

There will also be a shorter family run where up to 2,000 places are available. Tickets for that cost £7.

Newham Council also has 750 free tickets for its residents which will go to people who contact them directly.
