A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a father of two in a betting shop in south London.

Andrew Iacovou, 55, was found dead at a branch of Ladbrokes in Aberconway Road, Morden, where he worked, last Saturday morning.

A post-mortem examination showed he died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Shafique Ahmad Aarij was remanded by Camberwell Green magistrates to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
