Man admits Poppy Day appeal box theft in Richmond

A man has pleaded guilty to the theft of a Remembrance Day poppy appeal tin from a garage in south-west London.
Leon Cowley, 31, of Chaucer Avenue in Richmond, admitted the charge when he appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court.
The poppy appeal tin was taken from Blackhorse Garage on Sheen Road in Richmond on 27 October.
Cowley, who is unemployed, will appear at the same court on 13 November, when he is expected to be sentenced.
