Cyclist dies after lorry collision in Homerton

A cyclist has died after being involved in a collision with a lorry in east London.

Officers were called to Homerton High Street at the junction with Mackintosh Lane, in Hackney, at 16:20 GMT on Monday following reports of a crash.

A 34-year-old man with critical injuries was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin are being informed and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course, police said.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made. Officers are appealing for witness.
