A £10,000 reward has been offered in connection with the suspected murder of a 21 year old stabbed in the neck.

Josh Hanson died at the RE bar in Eastcote, north-west London, last October following an unprovoked attack.

Detectives, who are looking for 27-year-old Shane O'Brien in connection with the assault, have offered the money for information leading to a successful prosecution.

Police have warned the public not to approach Mr O'Brien but to call 999.

Mr O'Brien, of Ladbroke Grove, west London, has links to the Ruislip area of London but could be anywhere in the country, a Met Police spokesman said.

He is described as a white, 6ft (1.8m) tall and of muscular build.

Det Ch Insp Noel McHugh said Mr Hanson was a "hard-working young lad, up at 5am for his job as a roads planner and often working seven days a week".

He added: "He had everything to live for and, when he went out that Saturday night, no one could have imagined what would happen to him.

"His family is in pieces."
