Fire crews tackle Mile End tower block blaze

A large fire in an east London tower block has sent plumes of smoke soaring over the capital.
The blaze broke out in a property on the 12th floor of a high-rise block in Wellington Way just before 12:30 BST.
London Fire Brigade sent five engines and 58 firefighters to the scene at Grafton House having received more than 90 calls.
London Ambulance Service said crews checked over three people at the scene but nobody needed hospital treatment.
The fire brigade said two people had to be led to safety, while 44 had left the block before they arrived.
Residents were taken to a nearby community centre for "support and refreshments", East End Homes, the housing association responsible for the block, said.
The blaze damaged most of a three-roomed flat and part of a balcony on the 13th floor.
Jamila Noor, who lives in Berkeley House - the tower next door, said the fire made her feel unsafe about living in a block of flats.
"When we see one fire we just get shocked, because we think that our house might go up as well," she said.
The cause of the fire, which took nearly an hour and a half to get under control, is being investigated.
