A 25-year-old woman was raped multiple times by an alleged serial sex attacker during a 14-hour ordeal, a court has heard.

In a police interview played at the Old Bailey, she said she was abducted by Joseph McCann near her Walthamstow home after midnight on 25 April.

He pushed her into a car, made her strip and told her to pretend to be a child and call him "daddy", she said.

Mr McCann denies 37 offences against 11 victims, including children.

The alleged attacks happened in London and the North West over a two-week period.

The woman said she was driven to different parts of north London and Epping Forest and raped repeatedly by Mr McCann, 34, from Harrow.

"He asked me to call him daddy and say I was a child," she told police.

Mr McCann also tried to make her take him back to her address so he could stab her boyfriend and rape her housemate, the court heard.

The woman said he later parked outside a school and "kept saying he needed to find a kid and he was going to make me rape a kid".

He also threatened to throw her into a canal to "wash the DNA" off her, the jury was told.

During her ordeal, the defendant forced another woman, 21, into his car in Edgware, north London, while a third woman managed to escape, the jury was told.

He then made the 25-year-old perform sex acts on the 21-year-old, the court heard.

They eventually managed to escape when the older of the two smashed Mr McCann over the head with a vodka bottle, jurors heard.

Earlier, the court was told the 25-year-old woman denied "happily inviting" him back to her flat and said she was forced into his car at knife-point as she walked home from a nightclub.

Mr McCann's lawyers accept he was the man in the car but said the pair met when he offered her a lift home.

The jury was told she had consensual sex with him, took a bath with him and then cut herself with a knife, claiming he did it.

The defendant, who was not in court, is charged with the following offences between 20 April and 5 May this year:

  • Ten counts of false imprisonment

  • Seven counts of rape

  • One count of rape of a child

  • Two counts of causing or inciting a person to engage in sexual activity without consent

  • Seven counts of kidnap

  • One count of attempted kidnap

  • Three counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity

  • Three counts of assault by penetration

  • One count of sexual assault

  • Two counts of committing a sexual offence with intent

The trial continues.
