Body found in suitcase treated as 'unexplained death'

A body has been found in a suitcase in a hostel in west London.

Officers were called to reports of a dead body found at a property on The Crescent, Southall, shortly before 15.00 GMT on Friday.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained, police said. Inquiries to identify the body are ongoing.

No arrests have been made. A Met Police spokesman said: "Officers are not discussing the circumstances of the discovery any further at this stage."
