HS2 protesters dig ‘secret tunnel’ near Euston station

Activists campaigning against the HS2 rail project say they have dug a 100ft (30m) long tunnel near Euston station in order to thwart efforts to evict them from a nearby campsite.

This footage, obtained by the BBC, was filmed by the activists.

A spokeswoman for HS2 said the tunnel was a risk to public safety and a waste of taxpayer funds.
