A man has been shot dead outside a Tube station in north London.
The victim, aged in his 20s, was found wounded near Turnpike Lane Tube station in Hornsey at 01:10 BST.
He was pronounced dead at the scene 45 minutes later, the Metropolitan Police said. A murder investigation has been launched.
Detectives said the victim's next of kin had been informed and that no arrests had been made.
Extra police officers will be in the Haringey and Enfield area over the long weekend, Det Ch Supt Treena Fleming said.
She added: "A young man has lost his life in tragic circumstances and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
"We have a dedicated team of detectives working round the clock to track down the person - or people - responsible."
She added the murder investigation is not being linked to a non-fatal shooting in nearby Park Lane on Friday morning.
