Seven people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing in Streatham

Two teenagers have been stabbed to death within 24 hours across London.

A 15-year-old boy was found with multiple stab wounds on a street in Hayes, west London, at about 08:30 BST, the Met Police said.

While in Streatham, south London, a youth, believed to be in his late teens, was found with a knife wound to the chest at 16:00 BST on Thursday and died at hospital later.

Investigations are ongoing in both cases.

Four males and three females have been arrested on suspicion of various offences as part of the Streatham investigation, detectives said.

A suspect has been detained in the in connection with the Hayes stabbing.

Local MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy said on Twitter: "My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the young man stabbed to death on Streatham High Road this afternoon.

"Arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing in the area."

There have been 50 homicides in the capital this year, according to a BBC analysis of Met Police data.

Eighteen of those homicides have happened since the start of May.
