Bakerloo Line passengers were being urged to complete their journey by 17:30

London Underground trains to Wembley Central will run ahead of the Euro 2020 final despite staff self-isolating, Transport for London (TfL) says.

The Bakerloo Line was due to stop running at 19:00 BST due to "a shortage of control centre staff who are having to self-isolate".

"We have managed to identify another controller to provide sufficient cover so the Bakerloo Line service will now run as normal," TfL says.

Some 60,000 fans will be at Wembley.

England play Italy at 20:00 with the winner crowned European champions.

The operator had previously urged people to use Wembley Park station, which is served by the Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines, instead.

TFL had said Bakerloo Line travellers should complete their journey by 17:30.

The Queen and the Prime Minister are among those to have sent the team good wishes ahead of the historic match.
