Bank station reopens after four months

Passengers have returned to the Bank branch of the Northern line after a £700m upgrade.

The work included a new concourse and southbound platform and has increased capacity by 40%.

Transport for London is advertising to encourage people back to the network but its funding from the government runs out in June.

The government has previously said: "We have repeatedly shown our commitment to supporting London's transport network through the pandemic."
