Oxford Street: Man admits robbery attempt seen by BBC reporter

The attempted robbery took place outside the Royal Gifts Gallery on Oxford Street
A man has pleaded guilty to an attempted robbery witnessed by a BBC reporter broadcasting on Oxford Street.
Abdesselam Quamane, 36, from Rainham in east London, admitted targeting an Australian tourist on the UK's busiest high street on 5 September.
He appeared at Southwark Crown Court earlier and is due to be sentenced at a later date.
Police detained and arrested Quamane at Marble Arch station after being called at about 10:50 BST.
